hype af over pens

first it was like "ooh colors," but then i realized that i like pens for more than the look and feel. i like them for the mental upkeep. being analog from time to time is important. i def. do a lot of typing but handwriting forces my brain into a presence that just don't always get from typing. i find myself typing without focus all the time, but writing by hand without focus is damn near impossible for me.

also expression. handwriting is so customizeable and disinct and energetic (or slow and controlled or flow-y or whatever else) compared to typing. plus seeing ink absorbed into paper is different every time.

these pens are my current faves. the signo can be outta control depending on what version it is, but there are a few reasons why i was geeked enough to make a post about pens.

i'm a writing ass, doodling ass person and that can have my notes looking a lil chaotic, even to myself. combine that with giant handwriting and heavy-handedness and encounter an occasional mini disaster in my notebook. these pens bring clarity. they're all smooth as hell. which lets my thoughts flow neatly and fast. the sharpie pen has slight resistance to keep me on track when i want my notes to be more methodic(al?), like for class. the papermate gels pictured below are vibrant and slick. and the uniball is a little on the thinner side. they all have their uses.

looking for recommendations.

likely becoming a collector soon.
